“Voices of Our Past” is an Alumni Players! and Woodlawn Cemetery Community Partnership Event which celebrates both the history of Edwardsville and the living legacy of Woodlawn Cemetery as told through story and song.

COME HEAR THE VOICES!
On Saturday, September 27, Woodlawn Cemetery will host its annual fundraiser, “Voices of Our Past.”
Woodlawn Docents will lead guests on an hour-long walking tour of the historic cemetery that includes graveside re-enactments of members of some of Edwardsville’s finest ‘first families.’
This year, Julia West and Mary Hadley, William Russell Prickett, Adolphus Wolf, Sarah Coventry and Henry & Mary Steinmeyer will be among the prominent citizens of Edwardsville who will share stories of their family histories and their impact on daily life in our very own home town.
Members of Alumni Players!, a community-based NFP, will perform the roles of these historic local luminaries, which will include live musical performances.
Tours are scheduled for 11:00AM and 2:00PM.
Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for children 12 and under, and may be purchased in advance on the Woodlawn Cemetery website: www.woodlawnedwardsville.org/events.
All proceeds from this event will go to the continued preservation and restoration of the landscape of Woodlawn Cemetery.
*This ticket purchase is non-refundable: should it be necessary to cancel this event due to poor weather conditions, the price of admission will be considered a donation to Woodlawn Cemetery.
